Waiwai Collective

Waiwai Collective is a group of Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs who share kuleana and a passion for uplifting the lāhui. Ka Waiwai is a call to action for the lāhui kanaka to come together and dream up ideas of exchange and abundance that prioritize relationships and the balance between people and ʻāina. Through their work, they continue to show the power of physical community when people gather with purpose and aloha.

I’m currently working with Waiwai Collective on a few different projects. This space feels like coming together to dream—to explore ideas rooted in both tradition and possibility. I see it as an opportunity for intergenerational work, learning from the past while helping shape what comes next.

The Waimea Futures project reflects this same manaʻo. As someone raised in Waimea too, I’ve seen this wahi as both grounded and forward-looking—always on the edge of new ideas and ways of thriving. In this time of change across Hawaiʻi’s environmental, political, social, and spiritual landscapes, this work feels especially important.

It is a time for dreaming, building, and remembering what matters most.
