I also create social media stuff.
I'm an artist.
Pūpūkahi I Holomua is a ʻŌlelo Noʻeau (Hawaiian saying). It means "Unite to Move Forward". I created this art piece in college inspired by both my Hawaiian Studies and Digital Media Art courses.
I'm a writer.
I'm an advocate for and enjoy working with organizations focused on environmental and cultural protection and preservation. It's part of the reason I started my company Muliwai Media. Here's an article I wrote while working for SAVE CALIFORNIA SALMON.
Here's a workday in my life...
Check emails and calendar.
Connect with clients to chat about what needs to be focused on for website, social media, email marketing or video editing for that week.
Strategize and update project timelines for the week.
Create any content or edits for website, social media, email marketing or video editing for the week. Use schedule post" and "schedule send" to setup work ahead of time.
Muliwai is the Hawaiian word for river mouth or estuary. It's the place where the river meets the ocean, where salt water meets fresh water. I live in Northern California, Humboldt County and originate from the Big Island of Hawai'i. My work and life are inspired by these places. I enjoy listening to music and podcasts and researching my family genealogy.
